Why Can’t I Get What I Want?

What do I want?         Why do I want it?       How come I don’t have it?

If you have asked yourself any or all of the above questions and have not been able to get a clear answer, you might be experiencing uncertainties and resistance that is holding you back from achieving your goals.

As one of our favorite authors (Steven Pressfield) says: “The Enemy is Resistance”.  Resistance can be: Addictions, Depression, Distractions, Ego, Family, Fear, Overcommitment, Perfectionism, Procrastination, Self-doubt, and Timidity among many others.

Steven’s list of “Resistance’s Greatest Hits” (not all-inclusive) include:

  • the launching of any any enterprise (for profit or not)“, including change of jobs or careers
  • any act that entails commitment of the heart – the decision to get married, to have a child, to weather a rocky patch in a relationship
  • any act of political, moral, or ethical courage, including the decision to change for the better some unworthy pattern of thought or conduct in ourselves
  • any course or program designated to overcome an unwholesome habit or addiction
  • any activity whose aim is the acquisition of chiseled abdominals” or “any diet or health regimen
  • the pursuit of…any creative art, however marginal or unconventional“.

Again, if you have felt such a force of resistance within yourself and now feel that you could use some assistance in overcoming it, you are ready for coaching (contact) with us.

Our commitment is to help you identify the skills and capabilities that are within you and enable you to use them to the best of your ability.

It works because we will hold you accountable for your goals that we will help you design!
